How can we improve the impact of our media-enhanced training initiatives? This question is at the heart of the educational community's reflections, as it faces major challenges such as the invasion of generative artificial intelligence and fatigue towards synchronous distance learning courses.

EMOOCs 2023 is one of the most important e-learning events in Europe. Michel LEROY, Academic Manager of the Erasmus+ CoMMPASS project, attended the European MOOCs Stakeholders Summit at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.

The "AMAZE!" project started in early May at the Erich-Brost-Institute (EBI). The first phase involves a cross-continental comparative analysis of media coverage on migration between Europe and Africa, as well as within the African continent.

All the CoMMPASS project partners came together for their first ever regular meeting in Kampala, Uganda.

In mid-April, 14 journalism students travelled to Cyprus to explore the impact of the Cyprus conflict and geopolitical crises on the country 20 years after its accession to the EU. During the excursion organised by the Chair of International Journalism, they researched their own journalistic articles, which will be published in various media in the coming weeks.

The Erasmus+ CoMMPASS project is making great strides and, having drawn up the concept note and synopsis for each of the 14 modules, the authors are now working on the syllabus for their course.

More than 50 participants from all 27 EU countries met in October as part of the COPE project for a workshop in Vienna to discuss new digital forms of journalistic training for reporting on EU institutions and EU cohesion policy. In addition, the latest developments in the COPE project were presented at the general assembly of the Forum for European Journalism Students (FEJS) at the end of November.
